The Royalton Memorial Library at 23 Alexander Place in South Royalton is open Tuesday-Friday, noon-6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Paula Smith’s story times for toddlers and preschoolers are every Thursday at 10 a.m.

The next Royalton Lego Club session is October 21 from 1-2 p.m. at the library. The theme is “2 cup challenge/ Fall-Halloween.” Newcomers are always welcome and Legos are provided. The club is organized by the library and the Royalton Recreation Commission.

The Fall Book Club will meet on October 9 at 7 p.m. to discuss “Candide” by Voltaire. All are welcome and books are available for checkout from the library. Upcoming books include “A Man Called Ove” by Frederik Backman and “The Children Act” by Ian McEwan. Pick up a full schedule at the library.

The Wellness Book Discussion Group will meet on October 11 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert. All are welcome and books are available for checkout from the library. Upcoming books include “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz and “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle.

The show of work by local artist Lindsey Cole is on display in the library through September 29.

The SoRo Fiber Crafters meet every third Tuesday of the month from 6-8 p.m. at the library. Newcomers are always welcome.

Books recently added to the library include “The Shadow Land” by Elizabeth Kostova, “A French Wedding” by Hannah Tunnicliffe, and “Phenomena” by Annie Jacobsen. The library catalog, including access to e-books, is available online at www.royaltonlibrary.org.

Betty LaWhite offers free basic-skills computer tutoring for the community. Contact the library to schedule an appointment.
