Free Verse Fest Sunday, Oct. 1

Everyone is invited to come to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Free Verse Farm at 34 Baraw Hill Road in Chelsea, this Sunday, Oct. 1 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and kick off a season of fundraising for their new herb drying and processing space.

Musical guests will include Reckless Breakfast, Ida Mae Specker & Faith Wood, Still Hill, and Dave Richardson, and poets Taylor Mardis Katz, Hal Coughlin, Didi Jackson, Julia Shipley, Megan Buchanan, and Major Jackson, will be there, too.

Foods will include NOFA Vermont’s pizza oven (wood-fired pizza), Caja Madera (tacos), juice and smoothies, local beers, local hot tea, and locally roasted coffee.

There will be charcoal portraits, free nature-themed kids activities, and more. Tickets prices are on a sliding scale, and tickets are limited, so you are encouraged to buy online before the event. Visit www.freeversefarm.com/festival for more details.
