(Provided) The Feinberg Brothers will be one of the groups performing at a bluegrass concert fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds. (Provided) In an effort to raise money for repairing a footbridge at the Tunbridge World’s Fairground that was heavily damaged due to flooding on July 3, Candi Sawyer, event producer of the Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival, has announced a one-day Bluegrass Extravaganza on Sunday, Oct. 8 from 1–5 p.m. (rain or shine) at the Pavilion Building at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds.

The doors will open at noon for a bluegrass concert featuring five groups. Opening the show will be Seth and Candi Sawyer; followed by the Feinberg Brothers all the way from Long Island, N.Y.; Jim Rooney of Sharon, who is a musician, songwriter, recording engineer; and Grammy-winning record producer; Zink & Company; and Bob Amos & Catamount Crossing.

“We are thrilled to have all of these talented entertainers who are generously donating their time appear at this event,” Sawyer said. “When we left the fairgrounds in June, we never expected that a week later the footbridge would be washed away. The fairgrounds are special to all of us and we’re looking forward to all pulling together to help raise funds for the bridge repair.”

If you are unable to attend, you can visit the website and make a donation. Tickets will be available at the door and in advance online. Be sure to bring your own lawn chair, and there will also be refreshments available, along with a 50/50 raffle.
