Two Arrested For Suspected DUI

State police reported the following arrests for suspected drunk driving:

Charity Guiles, 36, of Tunbridge, was arrested after state troopers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Clarksville Road in Tunbridge on August 30, at 8:10 p.m.

When troopers arrived, Guiles, the driver, had left the scene; police later found Guiles at her home. Police said that investigation revealed that Guiles was under the influence of alcohol when she drove the vehicle, and that there had been four passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Guiles was arrested and cited to Superior Court on September 18 on one charge of DUI and four counts of reckless endangerment. Blakeman’s Towing removed the vehicle.

In Rochester

State troopers arrested John E. Thresher, 53, of Rochester, on a DUI charge September 1 at 6:58 p.m.

Troopers answered a call for a possibly intoxicated driver, who was reportedly passed out at the wheel of a motor vehicle in the parking lot of The Huntington House in Rochester.

Witnesses suggested Thresher had also collided with a fence in the lot.

When troopers arrived, they determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Thresher was arrested, processed at the Rochester Constable’s office, and released on a DUI citation, with a September 19 court date.
