Vt. Woodworking & Forest Fest At Billings Farm & Museum

Communities / Sep. 7, 2017 9:06am EDT

The Vermont Woodworking & Forest Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 at the Billings Farm & Museum and the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.

The Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association has held this event for the past 14 years. It has again been named a Top Ten Fall Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.

The farm and park are directly across the street from each other, so visitors can park for free at Billings Farm and enjoy both events easily.

More than 20 artisan vendors and woodworking demonstrators will be in the Visitor Center, barn, and on the farm lawn.

Vermont wooden furniture, utensils, jewelry, bowls, cutting boards, home and kitchen accessories, and other woodenware, toys, cabinetry, flooring, wildlife carvings, and other products made of wood will be for sale.

The scenic backdrop of the farm, along with live music by local musician Mike Kelley, and locally sourced food from Mach’s Wood Fired Pizza and Back Road BBQ, provide a great accompaniment for shopping or watching live turning demonstrations outdoors.

Just across the street, visitors can enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, forest walks, additional woodworking demonstrations, a chance to make their own woodcrafting, and other family activities at Vermont’s only National Park.

Vendors currently include: Andrew Pearce Bowls, ClearLake Furniture, Rockledge Farm Woodworks, Copeland Furniture, T. Breeze Verdant Jewelry, Kettler Woodworks, Green Mountain Woodturning, Birds in Wood, Art Wolff, Wildlife Sculpting, Maple Landmark Woodcraft, Vermont Farm Table, Vermont Tree Goods, Pompanoosuc Mills, and others.
