On Saturday, Sept. 9 at 9 a.m., the library will host its annual Story Hour celebrating “Going to the Fair!” If the weather cooperates, prepare for a walk around the fairgrounds to hear and share stories, share a snack, and anticipate the fair as it appears.

At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, budding artists are invited to the Cartoon Workshop for some fun with pictures that tell stories. It’s never too early or too late to join in.

Pat Little will be the featured artist of the new Artspace exhibit “Landscapes from New England.” The display of her paintings opens for viewing this Thursday, Sept. 7, with an opening reception after the fair is over, on Sunday, Sept. 24.

This week, the library would like to recognize two particular volunteers, Sarah and Rick Scully, for enabling the wireless printing for the new color laser printer.

The library will be closed next week for the days of the fair (September 14-17), re-opening on Monday, September 18. There is Wi-fi available 24 hours a day, regardless of library hours.

Regular library hours are Monday and Wednesday, 3-8 p.m.; Thursday, and Friday, 3-6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information, call 889-9404.
