The Royalton Memorial Library at 23 Alexander Place in South Royalton is open Tuesday-Friday, from noon-6 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Everyone is invited to stop by to meet the new Library Director, Marianne Pysarchyk, who began her position on September 5.

Paula Smith’s story times for toddlers and preschoolers are every Thursday at 10 a.m. Upcoming stories include “Here Are My Hands” and “Busy Little Squirrel.”

The Fall Book Club will meet on September 25 at 7 p.m. to discuss “The Elegance of the Hedgehog” by Muriel Barbery. All are welcome and books are available for checkout from the library. Upcoming books include “Candide” by Voltaire and “A Man Called Ove” by Frederik Backman. Pick up a full schedule at the library.

The show of work by local artist Lindsey Cole is on display in the library through September 29.

The SoRo Fiber Crafters meet every third Tuesday of the month, from 6-8 p.m., at the library. Newcomers are always welcome.

Betty LaWhite offers free basic-skills computer tutoring for the community. Contact the library to schedule an appointment.
