Concerts will be Friday, Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro (RSVP 802-533-9075 or info@highlandartsvt.org); Saturday, Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Montpelier; and Sunday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. at the Warren United Church in Warren.

Since 1934, musicians and audiences have flocked to the Berkshires in the summer seeking renewal and inspiration. Tanglewood, summer home of the Boston Symphony, offers an expansive experience of space and time for artists to fully explore and embody the music they are to perform.

Similarly Scrag Mountain Music, now commencing its eighth season, offers this both to artists and to the Vermont community four weekends each year. Bonhag and Premo, artistic directors of Scrag Mountain Music, recently returned home to Marshfield after a summer in residence at Tanglewood with their two children while Bonhag was a vocal fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center, a highly selective training program for young professional classical musicians.

Music lovers in central Vermont will get a taste of Tanglewood with Bonhag and three other vocal and pianist fellows—Jazimina MacNeil, mezzo-soprano, Andrew Munn, bass, and pianist Adam Rothenberg— at three concerts highlighting vocal and solo piano music they performed at Tanglewood over the summer.

Admission to the concerts is “come as you are, pay what you can.” For more information, visit scragmountainmusic.org.
