The center at 6 Hale Street is open for the public Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and serves lunch in the Fork and Spoon Café at noon.

Monday activities include cribbage at 10 a.m., bingo at 10:30 a.m., and contract bridge at Joslyn House at 2:15 p.m. “Lift for Life” exercise classes are Tuesday- Friday at 8:30 a.m. On Tuesdays, there is an eight-week Tai Chi class at 9:45 a.m., and mahjongg at 10 a.m. On the first Wednesday of each month, the book club meets at 12:45 p.m. There is a foot clinic the first Wednesday of the month by appointment. On Thursdays, the Knit-Wits meet at 10 a.m.— bring any needlework project. Call 728-9324 to confirm activities.

On Thursday, Aug. 10, the center will serve scalloped potatoes, sliced ham, mixed veggies, tropical fruit, and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.

The menu for Monday, Aug. 14 will feature macaroni and cheese, broccoli, coleslaw, muffins, and fruit.

On Tuesday, Aug. 15 from 12:45- 1:15 p.m., Dr. Ciccarelli will talk about “Skin Health Under the Sun.” Lunch will include meatloaf with gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, whole wheat bread, and brownies.

The annual senior center picnic at Grant’s Camp will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 16, beginning at 10:30 a.m., with hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, and watermelon.

On Thursday, Aug. 17, the center will serve ranch chicken, rice pilaf, Brussels sprouts, fruit salad, whole wheat bread, and “pumpkin stuff.”
