Barre—Julio Abreu Santiago, 64, formerly of Randolph, died unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017 at his home.

He was born in Isabella, Puerto Rico on September 1, 1953, and was raised in Somerset, N.J., by his parents, Julio Velez and Maria Santiago.

He was a loving father to Veronica, Julio Jr., Steven, Angel, and Cassie; as well as 19 grandchildren, and other great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Maria Abreu and Antolina Pittman, and was predeceased by Maria Ducos. He leaves behind too many other family members to mention.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lori Abreu. They met in New Jersey when Lori was 15 years old and Julio was 24 years old, and were inseparable from that point on. His laugh and smile were contagious and he had charisma that gravitated others toward him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
