State police arrested a Randolph man on multiple charges, including first-degree aggravated domestic assault, following the report of an incident August 5 in Lyndonville.

Following his arrest, Steven Parsons, 34, was ordered held on $125,000 cash or surety bail, pending his arraignment in Caledonia County Court on August 7. He was cited to court on the assault charge as well as on a charge of unlawful restraint and four counts of violation of conditions of release.

A Caledonia County Sheriff’s deputy reported the assault last Friday morning, after the victim came to the emergency department at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury for treatment. The victim, who was hospitalized, was only able to leave the residence after Parsons fell asleep, police reported.

State police do not release the names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.
