HISTORY ONSTAGE | On the evening of March 21, the third and fourth graders of Brookfield School performed a four act play, “George Washington, The First American Hero.” Written by Kate Youngdahl-Stauss of Granville, the play tells the life story of our nation’s first president. The students also sang songs from the revolutionary period, under the direction of music teacher Randy Neal. Here, teacher Peter Flaherty fills in during the dress rehearsal as George Washington reporting to General Braddock (Phoebe Hickin) and his aide de camp, played by Bella Baggott. An overflow crowd of appreciative parents, grandparents, and community members attended the evening performance, giving it an enthusiastic “two thumbs up.” (Provided) HISTORY ONSTAGE | On the evening of March 21, the third and fourth graders of Brookfield School performed a four act play, “George Washington, The First American Hero.” Written by Kate Youngdahl-Stauss of Granville, the play tells the life story of our nation’s first president.
