Regis P. Deuel

Clifton Park, N.Y.—Regis P. Deuel, 87, died Tuesday July 5, 2011 at his residence.  

He was born in Binghamton, N.Y. on April 9, 1924, the son of the late George and Florence Powell Deuel. 

Regis graduated from Binghamton North High School in Binghamton, N.Y. He received his doctorate in business from Syracuse University. Regis was an associate Professor at Alfred Agriculture Technical College in Alfred, N.Y. He was a associate professor at Corning Community College in Corning, N.Y., as well as SUNY Albany. He was a professor at Genesee Community College in Batavia, N.Y. Regis was the Dean of Management at SUNY Agriculture Technical College at Delhi from the early to mid-1980s. He was lastly a professor at the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y.

Regis was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Delhi and Batavia, N.Y. He was a member of the Christ Community Reformed Church in Clifton Park, N.Y. 

He was the husband of the late Virginia E. Deuel, whom he married July 31, 1948. He celebrated over 51 years of marriage with her until her passing in May 28, 2000. 

He was the devoted father and father-in-law of Timothy E. (Joan Lockburner) Deuel of Richford, N.Y., and the late Lucinda Dean (Doug Dean) of Weston, Fla.; brother of George (Velma) Deuel of Clearwater, Fla., and Raymond (Phyllis) Deuel of Vestal, N.Y.; grandfather of Scott Dean, and Ted and Fred Deuel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, N.Y. 12065.
