Sharon Academy Boys Hold Perfect 14-0 Record By Laurie-Jean B. Gauthier

With the end of the regular season comes "Senior Recognition Day" and TSA had a great day when they hosted the Blue Mountain Bucks and defeated their guests, 4-1. The boys claimed their school’s first perfect regular season, with their 14 wins. Seniors on the team are Bobby Farrell, Evan Frank, Danny Moore, Duncan Nelson, Otto Pierce, Colin Pope, Will Seymour, and Cody Spiegel.

TSA wasted no time scoring as Colin Pope and Otto Pierce teamed up for the initial goal (Pope scored) just two minutes into the contest. Pierce paired up with Michael Young-Ward for the second goal of the game and his second assist at 17:04, then Pope helped Young-Ward with the third goal of the game with less than 10 minutes remaining in the half.

Up 3-nada, the Phoenix were shooting towards the shutout, but Charlie Jobin managed to slip the lone Buck deposit in just 36 seconds before the break. TSA finished the scoring when Danny Moore sent the ball in off a Bobby Farrell pass at 28:57.

Brad Farrell made eight stops for Sharon. More than likely, TSA will earn the second seed behind Black River and earn a bye through the first round.

Two More Wins

On Friday, Oct. 10, and Tuesday, Oct. 12, TSA dispatched first the Craftsbury Chargers and then the Cabot Huskies with back-to-back, 4-zip outings.

In Craftsbury, Pope and Nelson shared the goal tally with two apiece. Seymour and Bobby Farrell each earned an assist in the outing. Brad Farrell was tested twice and made his 24th and 25th saves of the season.

Back in Sharon two days later, Danny Moore got the lion’s share of the goals with two and Pope and Bobby Farrell scored the other two. Young-Ward assisted Pope. Farrell was unassisted.
